When dropping off or picking up your child, please park on West Street or in the side parking lot and walk with your child to door 2.

Important Dates & Reminders:

• Mar 31 - 2 hour Student Early Release  (morning preschool ends at 11:00)
• Apr 1 - Teacher Workday  No school for students
• Apr 4 - Apr 8: Spring Break, Schools Closed

Outcomes (may vary by classroom):

• Students will continue to learn that a community is where people live, work, and play.
• Students will begin to demonstrate basic knowledge of being members of a diverse community.
• Students will continue to make cultural connections between home and community.
• Students will continue identifying community helpers and their role
• Continue to follow Listening Rules and learn character traits through Second Step 
• Students will begin to demonstrate basic knowledge of life cycles and natural resources

Sample Activities (may vary by classroom):

• Read about different communities and make connections with what we see or do in our own community/neighborhood
• Community Helpers Craft Activities
• Match items that belong to specific community helpers (for example, hats/clothing, vehicles)
• Mindfulness activities including breathing exercises 
• Use pictures and objects to retell a simple life cycle (i.e. seed, sprout, plant)​​​​​​​
