- Describe the range of a set of data as a measure of spread

Moving Forward and Digging Deeper
- To refine and extend understandings of division of whole numbers
- To develop an understanding of and fluency with the relationship between fractions and decimals

Science
Science in the Field
- This unit focuses on cells, microscope use, and ecology. Throughout the unit students develop their understanding of the nature of science, particularly the concept that the natural world is understandable and that science is based on evidence, both observational and experimental. Through hands-on science, students learn to inquire, observe, experiment, solve problems, collect and record information, and come to conclusions concerning matters about cells and the environment.
Reflect and Review
- Review units throughout quarter 1, 2, and 3 with games, projects, and crafts.
Social Studies
Global Awareness Technology Project
- Students should engage in inquiry based research focused on a chosen topic aligned to specific aspects of learned ancient cultures that transfer across all cultures. Through inquiry and research, students will construct an understanding of and evaluate how the contributions of ancient cultures have and continue to impact our world today. Students will present projects before the end of the year!
