What We Learned This Past Month

We started Language Arts this year by learning how to choose just right books and finding a good spot to read. Students are practicing increasing their reading stamina and talking about what they are reading.

For Word Study, we took a beginning of the year assessment. All students will be flexibly grouped into a word study group that best fits their needs.

What We Will Be Learning Next Month

We will be starting with a non-fiction unit. The students will be reading and writing about nonfiction topics of their choice and learning how to read nonfiction texts.
