School doors open to students at 8:30am.

K-6 Hours

• Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 3:30pm
  • First Bell: 8:45am
  • Tardy Bell: 8:50pm

Preschool Hours

AM Preschool

• Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 12:20pm

PM Preschool

• Monday - Friday: 12:20pm - 3:45pm

PAC

• Monday/Wednesday: 9:00am - 12:20pm
• Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 9:00am - 3:45pm

Office Hours

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

 

Delayed Opening, Early Dismissal, or School Closing

Two-Hour Delayed Opening Schedule

• Students in grades K-6 shall report two hours later than their regular schedule. (10:45am - 3:30pm)
• Morning preschool classes (special education) shall be canceled.
• Afternoon preschool starts on their normal schedule. (12:20pm - 3:45pm)
• Morning field trips are canceled.
• All offices are open unless the closing of offices is specified. 

With any delayed opening, the buses will arrive to pick up the students two hours later than the regularly scheduled time.

Two-Hour Early Dismissal Schedule

• Students in grades K-6 will be dismissed two hours early. (8:45am - 1:30pm)
• Morning preschool classes are dismissed at 11am. (9:00am - 11am)
• Afternoon preschool classes are canceled.
• Field trips are canceled.

School Closings and Virtual Learning Days

• In  the  event  of  an  emergency,  such  as extreme  heat,  cold  or  snow,  the  Division Superintendent may decide to:
  • Open schools two hours late
  • Close schools two hours early.
  • Close schools for the day (days 1-5)
  • Close schools for a virtual learning day (day 5+)
• All emergency closings and delayed openings shall be announced in the following ways:
  • Listed on the Fairfax County Public Schools website: www.fcps.edu.
  • Sent by electronic mail (e-mail).
  • Carried on the division’s public access channel, Cox Cable Channel 21.

All-Day School Closing

• All schools shall be closed for the day. 
• Extracurricular activities, interscholastic contests, team practices, field trips, adult and community education classes, and recreation programs in school and on grounds are canceled.
• All offices are open unless the closing of offices is specified.

Virtual Learning Day Schedule

All virtual learning days will operate following the schedule below for students in grades K-6.  Please access your teacher's Zoom link for virtual leraning in Schoology.
