• Mar 3 - 2 hour Student Early Release  (morning preschool ends at 11:00)
• Mar 4 - Staff Development Day, No school for students
• Mar 31 - End of 3rd Quarter-2 hour Student Early Release  (morning preschool ends at 11:00)
• April 1 - Teacher Workday, No school for students
• Apr 4 - Apr 8 - Spring Break, Schools Closed

All About Me & My Community, Community Helpers, Seasonal Changes

We will have virtual visits with several community helpers this month!

Outcomes (may vary by classroom):

• Students will continue to learn that a community is where people live, work, and play.
• Students will begin to demonstrate basic knowledge of being members of a diverse community.
• Students will continue to make cultural connections between home and community.
• Students will continue identifying community helpers and their role.
• Continue to follow Listening Rules and learn character traits through Second Step

Sample Activities (may vary by classroom):

• Read about different communities and make connections with what we see or do in our own community/neighborhood
• Community Helpers Craft Activities
• Match items that belong to specific community helpers (for example, hats/clothing, vehicles)
• Mindfulness activities including breathing exercises
