Important Dates & Reminders:

May 30st- Memorial Day- NO SCHOOL

June 3th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR PRESCHOOL

June 10th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR PAC

-You will receive your child’s 4th quarter progress report through the mail after the end of the school year

-I will be contacting you to set up a last parent-teacher conference for the first or second week of June!

What We Are Learning

Themes

Seasonal Changes, Life Cycles, End of the Year Celebration

Outcomes (may vary by classroom):

• Continue to follow Listening Rules and learn character traits through Second Step 
• Students will continue to demonstrate basic knowledge of life cycles and natural resources
• Students will sequence life cycles through the re-telling of familiar stories
• Students will investigate things that are alive
• Students will investigate the basic needs of the life processes of plants and animals

Sample Activities (may vary by classroom):

• Mindfulness activities including breathing exercises 
• Use pictures and objects to retell a simple life cycle (i.e. seed, sprout, plant)
• Participate in hands-on activities to plant seeds and observe growth
• Observation walk to distinguish between living and nonliving things
