When dropping off or picking up your child, please park on West Street or in the side parking lot and walk with your child to door 2.

This month we are focusing on families. Please send me a photo of your family with each person’s name. We will be using them in our learning. You can email the photo, attach it to Talking Points or take it directly on Talking Points, or send a physical photo to school with your child. I will return it to you!

What we are learning:

Themes: Family & Culture

Outcomes (may vary by classroom): 

• Students will learn about families and practice identifying family members and who they are in their family (e.g. sister/brother, daughter)
• Students will learn and explore various cultures represented in the class
• Students will learn about different foods harvested in the fall; fruit versus vegetable

Sample Activities (may vary by classroom):

• Picture recognition activities paired with written name and also family members
• View places on Google Earth including our school and other common places (e.g. grocery store); also different countries
• Explore favorite cultural activities
• Activities related to the weather/nature (e.g. nature walk, clothing match up)
