Important Dates & Reminders

• Mar 2 - 2 hour Student Early Release  (morning preschool ends at 11:00am, no afternoon preschool, PAC ends at 1:45)
• Mar 3 - No school for students- school planning day
• Apr 3 - Apr 7 - Spring Break, Schools Closed

What we are learning:

Themes: All About Me & My Community, Community Helpers, Seasonal Changes

We will have visits from several community helpers this month!

Outcomes:

-Students will continue to learn that a community is where people live, work, and play.

-Students will begin to demonstrate basic knowledge of being members of a diverse community.

-Students will continue to make cultural connections between home and community.

-Students will continue identifying community helpers and their role.

-Continue to follow Listening Rules and learn character traits through Second Step

Sample Activities (may vary by classroom):

-Read about different communities and make connections with what we see or do in our own community/neighborhood

-Community Helpers Craft Activities

-Match items that belong to specific community helpers (for example, hats/clothing, vehicles)
-Mindfulness activities including breathing exercises
